The Sophisticated Hummus Salad Recipe

We’ve all had salad with hummus.  It’s so simple to throw some veggies together and toss in a dollop of our favorite dip.  However, for a slightly more sophisticated take on the hummus salad, try mixing it into a dressing. We believe it’s time to freshen up your palate.  Tired of the classic vinaigrette made out of olive oil and vinegar, maybe spiced up with lemon or garlic?  While it is a classic for good reason, making a hummus based salad dressing has a few advantages you may want to consider!

First, it adds flavor complexity. Humus is packed with different ingredients, and it only takes a few simple steps to convert it into hummus dressing for salad.  This means you don’t have to mess around with fifteen different ingredients and tinker with your spice jars; by using the dip, you can make a hummus salad dressing that will not only wow your taste buds, but will keep your friends and dinner guests guessing how you arrived at such a unique and tasty concoction.  And with so many inspiring flavors available, so much of the work is already done for you.

Second, it is a good source of protein, and quality brands contain healthy fats in the form of organic extra virgin olive oil.  Additionally, it also contains many other nutrients to boost your daily vitamin and mineral intake. So, not only can you add flavor dimension, but you can also up your dressing’s nutritional value with the simple inclusion of our favorite dip.

Third, it’s just so easy!  With this little secret, you can make professional-quality dressings in just minutes.  We’ve prepared a few hummus salad recipes to show you some simple preps that garner great results… so let us show you what kinds of salad hummus can improve!
