Any proper enthusiast knows that when added to a humus recipe, garlic adds an irreplaceable dimension and complexity.  Hope Black Garlic, the newest introduction to our flavor lineup, is a bold and refined take on the traditional garlic hummus recipe. Essentially a roasted garlic hummus, it takes advantage of black garlic’s warm and mellow flavors to create a dip with both tangy goodness and full-bodied flavor.


What is Black Garlic?


Hummus Roasted Garlic from HopeHere you may be asking, “So what is black garlic, anyway?”  It is the result of heating whole garlic cloves at around 140º Fahrenheit (60ºC) for 30-40 days.  The cloves turn either dark brown or black, and the flavor profile changes from sharp and pungent to more caramelized and roasted.  A popular food embellishment at high-end restaurants and food-forward gatherings, it struck us as the perfect ingredient for a fresh twist on garlic hummus.

Many brands have created their own roasted garlic recipe, but at Hope we wanted, as usual, to find a new and exciting flavor that we could design to our high quality standards.  Crafted preservative-free and using certified organic ingredients, this new recipe is a sure-fire winner for flavor-discerning and health-conscious tables.
