Creative Hummus Toast Ideas
However, making an interesting hummus toast is easiest when you use the best humus, with the most creative taste—so we thought we’d give you some recipes that showcase more of HOPE’s delicious flavors. With humus that is preservative-free, vegan, kosher, and USDA Certified Organic—such as HOPE’s—you can enjoy a treat that is not only super yummy, but that is also health conscious for yourself, your family, and your friends.
These recipes are great for any time of day; so whether you want hummus for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we have something for you. That said, with no further ado, here are some mouth-watering creations you can make at home:
1. Red Pepper Ombre Toast
This tasty concoction makes for a perfect breakfast hummus meal, and it couldn’t be easier to make. Take two slices of your favorite regular or gluten-free toast. Top one with our Red Pepper flavor, and the other with almond cream cheese. Throw some micro-greens or pea shoots on them both, and add sliced avocado for a filling way to start the day. And if you’re in the mood for hummus and eggs, throw a fried egg on top of the red pepper toast for an even more satisfying open-faced hummus egg sandwich!
Takes only 15 minutes for 2-4 servings.
2. Beet Hummus Toast with Peas
Looking for something that will both taste great and dazzle guests? With its rich colors and fresh flavor, look no further than this hummus bread winner. Blend raw or roasted beet into some of our Hope Original Recipe flavor, then throw that rich red spread on some toast with shaved asparagus, sweet peas, avocado, and cracked black pepper. A delight for the stomach and the eyes, this beauty can be ready to serve 4 in 20 minutes.
3. Sweet Potato Hummus Toast
Maybe you’re tired of plain old toast—but worry not. If you’re looking a bit out of the ordinary, try toasting sweet potato as the perfect hummus bread alternative. This recipe will show you how to create your own sweet potato toast, which is perfectly complimented by Spicy Avocado flavor and the veggies of your choosing. A bit more prep time at 25 minutes for 3-4 servings, this is perfect for impressing friends and family.
4. Sriracha Avocado Toast
Sometimes you need to spice things up a bit. This buckin’ bronc of a meal packs just the right punch, with spicy and tangy notes that will fill you up and keep your tongue singing. Spread some of our Sriracha humus on sourdough toast, then top it with fresh radishes, chives, tomatoes, avocado, extra virgin olive oil, and cracked black pepper. And as with the Red Pepper Ombre Toast above, if you want to make a hummus breakfast out of it, this will do well with some extra eggs for a tasty hummus egg sandwich.
5. Egg Clouds
Another great way to eat hummus and eggs is to make egg clouds. This light and fluffy way to prepare eggs is delicious when paired with your favorite flavor of Hope. Your imagination is the limit when it comes to how you want to enjoy this delicacy – it’s perfect for breakfast, paired with a toasted tortilla, or topped with fresh veggies.
