It’s that time of year again…back-to-school season! Having a plan for what to pack for lunch makes getting ready for the busy school year a whole lot easier.
It can be challenging to come up with healthy lunch ideas day after day, and as adults, we get tired of the “same-old same-old” lunch.
So, to help provide the best nutrition to fuel our children’s growing bodies, we put together some of our favorite family-friendly lunchbox ideas! We HOPE that these ideas will provide you with lots of inspiration for creating healthy lunches that your whole family will love!
Leftover Mac 'n Cheese. Yum.
Aren’t leftovers the best?! We paired our leftover Sriracha Mac ‘n’ Cheese with organic chicken sausage, homegrown greens, sweet potato fries, and cucumber slices with our Thai Coconut Curry Hummus for dipping.
Simple Power Salad
A simple salad can go a long way! We packed a fresh green salad with chopped veggies, sweet potato fries, mixed berries, and our Red Pepper Hummus for dipping and a salad dressing.
Tuna + Hummus = Flavor Heaven
Tuna or chicken salad is a great way to get a boost of protein when lunchtime rolls around! We LOVE mixing a can of tuna with our Black Garlic Hummus, diced onion and celery, and packing it with a gluten-free roll or on a sandwich.
Charcuterie for Lunch? Yes Please
Who doesn’t love a little charcuterie board?! Take it to go with fresh veggies and fruit, your favorite HOPE Hummus flavor, cheese, bread, and olives.
Quinoa Power Punch
Quinoa is a great choice for lunch – the fiber will keep you full all afternoon! We made a version with beans and veggies for extra protein, and paired it with our Original Recipe Hummus to mix in while eating. Fresh fruit and sliced veggies on the side completes the meal!
Veggie Burger Goodness
Veggie burgers are so versatile, making plant-based lunches way more fun, and ALWAYS taste better with guac! We packed veggies and tortilla chips to eat with the burger, and a big scoop of Mild Green Chile Guacamole.
Kale Pesto Sauce
Our Kale Pesto Hummus is the perfect pasta salad sauce! It packs all the flavor of a traditional pesto, without the nuts and dairy. Toss it with your favorite gluten-free noodles and you’re good to go!
