Top 10 Vegetables to Eat with Hummus

Everyone knows that veggies make a great dip vehicle for our hummus, but sometimes you need to switch it up a bit to avoid getting bored with your usual choices. We at HOPE get asked all the time, “what veggies to eat with hummus?” so we put together a list of our top 10 favorite veggie pairings!

VEGETABLES TO EAT WITH HUMMUS:

Carrots and dipping

1. CARROTS

Carrots are high in Vitamins A, E and K, which all contribute to improved vision. Their crunchiness makes them easy to dip in our favorite dip, and they come in so many fun varieties! We especially love rainbow carrots – they go great with our THAI COCONUT CURRY flavor!
Spaghetti squash

2. SPAGHETTI SQUASH

Spaghetti squash is high in B vitamins and potassium, and low in fat, carbs and calories. It makes a perfect healthy alternative to traditional pasta! Cut the squash in half, remove the seeds, and season with extra virgin olive oil. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 400°F face-down on a baking sheet. Remove and let cool, then pull strands up using a fork. Top with our KALE PESTO hummus for an instant delicious meal!
 Radishes - ways to eat

3. RADISHES

Radishes are a great source of magnesium, potassium and Vitamin C. They support healthy liver function and can aid in detoxification of the gut. We love chopping and eating them raw with our many flavors – they pair perfectly with our ORIGINAL RECIPE or JALAPEÑO CILANTRO flavors!
Creative uses for sweet potato

4. SWEET POTATO

Sweet potatoes have endless health benefits! They are high in fiber, vitamin B6, and antioxidants. Sweet potatoes help improve your blood sugar regulation, help prevent rheumatoid arthritis, and maintain collagen in your body. They are so versatile when baked, and can be sweet OR savory! We love topping them with our SPICY AVOCADO hummus for a kick.
Delicious ways to eat avocado

5. AVOCADO

Avocado (although technically a fruit) was one of the first ingredients we paired with our hummus, which is where our SPICY AVOCADO hummus recipe came from! Nowadays, our favorite way to use them is mashed on toast with a generous spread of our RED PEPPER hummus and sliced veggies.
creative ways to eat bell peppers

6. BELL PEPPERS

Bell peppers are loaded with antioxidants, immune-boosting properties and Vitamin E. They can actually help lower your “bad” cholesterol and contribute to healthy, shiny hair! They make a great raw dipping veggie for our hummus, especially with our new BLACK GARLIC flavor. Try mixing up the red, orange and green peppers for different levels of sweetness!
Great ways to eat greens

7. GREENS

Our hummus makes a great salad dressing! Whisk together a few tablespoons of your favorite HOPE flavor, lemon juice and some extra virgin olive oil. Drizzle on your salad for a healthy and flavorful alternative to traditional dressing!
Ways to eat zucchini

8. ZUCCHINI

Zucchini is full of antioxidants and Vitamin C, and contains anti-inflammatory properties that can improve heart health. They are delicious when sliced and baked as zucchini chips, or spiralized for zoodles (zucchini noodles)! Try our recipe for SPICY ZUCCHINI NOODLES WITH STRAWBERRIES – the subtle heat of our SPICY AVOCADO hummus pairs so well with the sweet strawberries!
 Cauliflower

9. CAULIFLOWER

Cauliflower makes a great meat substitute to cut down on animal protein intake, and it contains anti-inflammatory compounds that help prevent blood vessel diameter reduction. One of our favorite ways to use cauliflower with our hummus is in our JALAPENO CILANTRO CAULIFLOWER WINGS – perfect snack for game day!
 Brussels Sprouts

10. BRUSSELS SPROUTS

Brussels sprouts help fight inflammation, lower cholesterol and detoxify the body. They are especially high in Vitamin K, which helps promote healthy bones! We love roasting them with our SRIRACHA hummus, extra virgin olive oil, and a drizzle of raw maple syrup. The sweet and spicy combo is so good!
